Modafinil is a wakefulness-promoting agent (or eugeroic) for treatment of wakefulness disorders such as narcolepsy shift work sleep disorder and excessive daytime sleepiness associated with obstructive sleep apnea. Dose: one dose in the morning or 2 doses in the morning and at midday.
