About Pregabalin
A GABA agonist Anticonvulsant.
Mechanism of Action of Pregabalin
Pregabalin is a GABA neurotransmitter analog. It produces its action by modulating calcium channels and also reduces the release of neurotransmitters such as Glutamate Norepinephrine Serotonin Dopamine and Substance P.
Indications for Pregabalin
1.Epilepsy
2.Generalised anxiety disorder
3.Neuropathic pain
Typical Dosage for Pregabalin
150- 300mg / day in 2 divided doses
