Halphabarol the active principle of PROXIMOL is the most potent out of four antispasmodics present in the national desert weed "Cymbopogen proximus" or "Halfa Bar". It was discovered isolated and throughly tested by scientists in Kasr EI-Ainy Faculty of Medicine ( Cairo University ) and The National Research Centre at Dokki and has been developed and manufactured in Kahira Pharm. & Chem. Ind. Co. Halphabarol is a very efficient direct-acting smooth muscle relaxant which relieves spasm without interfering with or inhibiting the propulsive movement of the muscle which gives it a great value in management of renal colic and in extrusion of ureteric calculi (as dilatation of the ureter occurs below the site of calculus in presence of active propulsion). Indications: - Renal colic. - For extrusion of urinary calculi. Dose: 1-2 tablets three times daily.
