The drug has antagonistic action on alpha adrenergic and histaminergic receptors. These produce an increase in neurotransmitters concentration and thereby antipsychotic action. Indications for Risperidone Psychoses Interactions for Risperidone Levodopa : Efficacy of levodopa and dopamine agonists reduced. Carbamazepine : Chronic administration of carbamazepine may decrease it`s efficacy. Clozapine : Chronic administration of clozapine may enhance it`s efficacy.
