*Features: -30% Soybean oil as reliable source of essential fatty acids. -30% Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) as source of rapidly available energy. -25% Olive oil for supply of monounsaturated fatty acids especially oleic acid. -15% Fish oil as valuable source of the very long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). -and additionally Vitamin E (approximately 200 mg a-tocopherol/L) Indications Supply of energy and essential fatty acids and Omega-3 fatty acids to adults as part of a parenteral nutrition regimen when oral or enteral nutrition is impossible insufficient or contraindicated. Dosage: Smoflipid is a lipid injectable emulsion with a lipid content of 0.2 grams/mL in 100 mL 250 mL and 500 mL. The usual daily dosage in adults is 1 to 2 grams/kg per day and should not exceed 2.5 grams/kg per day.
