About Ifosfamide Alkylating Agent (Nitrogen Mustard) Antineoplastic Mechanism of Action of Ifosfamide In the liver drug undergo enzymatic activation into 4-hydroxyifosfamide.This alkylates the DNA by binding to N7 position of the guanine residue. This results cross linking/abnormal base pairing/scission of DNA strand. There is cross linking of nucleic acid with proteins can also takes place.
