Pharmacology Tropisetron is an indole derivative with antiemetic activity. As a selective serotonin receptor antagonist tropisetron competitively blocks the action of serotonin at 5HT3 receptors resulting in suppression of chemotherapy-and radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.
